The Grandmother Council Project honors women elders and creates a forum for their wisdom to be shared for the wellness of the people and the planet. The project was begun in 2002 by the Wellness Guide & Living Earth Circle's founder and director, Lisa Pavati.

As a part of Living Earth Circle, The Grandmother Council Project integrates personal, social, and environmental wellbeing and co-creative action. The event began as a small community gathering and is blossoming into a multi-faceted project with global outreach.

The Grandmother Council Project has three parts:

1)Annual Grandmother Council Community Conference

Women are honored at the Conference's Grandmother Council for outstanding service in supporting the healing and well-being of individuals, the local or global community, and/or the environment. Nominations can be made online or by phone. 541-201-0372.

2) The Global Grandmother Network
Living Earth Circle is reaching out to groups created by or honoring women elders around the world. Organizations share the focus of serving the people and the planet. Our website has information for dozens of these groups and we look forward to collaborating on projects, bringing in presenters, and supporting each-other in serving and healing the planet! Your recommendations for organizations and individuals to contact are greatly appreciated.

3) Wisdom Weaving Series
To extend the sharing of wisdom well beyond our annual conference, Living Earth Circle is hosting presentations and teachings by women elders. Most presenters will be local, as our community is abundant with wise women and we wish to support you.

We are building global community by bringing in presenters from around the nation and the world. Funding donations are needed to assist with travel expenses, particularly for Indigenous and other elders whose livelihood is based on receiving reciprocity for sharing their precious wisdom.

If you are interested in presenting a talk or experiential workshop, or would if you would like to request that we invite a certain woman to teach, please contact Lisa Pavati.

Living Earth Circle (http://www.livingearthcircle.org) serves to catalyze, support and celebrate sustainable wellness: personal, community and planetary. Through ceremony and sacred performance arts, workshops, conferences, literature, and global networking we honor all creation and promote active and co-creative responsibility for social and environmental wellbeing. Dynamic performance art and participatory ceremonies are offered at large festivals, conferences, and multi-cultural events. Experiential personal growth and intensive training programs are offered on Women’s and Earth-based Spirituality, ceremonial facilitation, sacred dance and expressive arts, magical herbcraft, and wholistic health, as well as special events for children and community. LEC focalizes the Grandmother Council project and provides ceremonial and event coordination support for individuals and groups also serving the people and the planet. Founded and facilitated by Transformational Therapist Lisa Pavati, LEC is based in Ashland, Oregon.
